| In February 2026, China exported 7.838 million tons of steel, a month on month increase of 1.1%, with an average export price of 729.0 US dollars per ton, a month on month increase of 6.7%. From January to February, China exported a total of 15.592 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 8.1%, with an average export price of 706.4 US dollars per ton, a slight year-on-year decrease of 1.0%. In February, China imported 369000 tons of steel, a decrease of 19.6% compared to the previous month, with an average import price of $1740.7 per ton, a decrease of 2.9% compared to the previous month. From January to February, China imported a total of 827000 tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 21.2%. The average import price was $1769.5 per ton, an increase of 8.0% year-on-year. |
